Abstract

Abstract: The effect of restraining vibration is bad by adopting a traditional skyhook semi-active control in high-frequency domain. In order to overcome the disadvantage, an improved semi-active control strategy based on acceleration damping is proposed. A high speed EMUs(Electric Multiple Units)model containing two motor cars and two traction cars with 104 DOF is built by using ADAMS(Automatic Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems), Which break through traditional methods’ limitation that the previous semi-active control researches concentrated on single car model. The proposed semi-active control methods are designed and Co-simulated in ADAMS and Simulink. According to the co-simulation results, the effects of two semi-active controls on riding quality and safety are compared in time domain and frequency domain, and the influences of time-delay on the system performance are analyzed. The results show that the performances of improved semi-active control are better for riding quality and restraining vibration.
