Abstract

Abstract: The Bouc-Wen model is one kind of hysteresis model based on the nonlinear differential equation. Because the derivatives at the inflexions of the triangular wave and other non-smooth inputs do not exist, this model is not suitable for those kinds of non-smooth inputs. Derived from the function of signal’s pre-processing, an improvement for the Bouc-Wen model was made, based on the soften idea of partial differential. The rationality of it for the voice coil motor was discussed, and the discrete form of the improved model was given. Under the triangular wave input, the input-output characteristic of the initial and improved model were compared. The simulation results indicate that the improved Bouc-Wen model could describe the hysteresis characteristic effectively, with good realizability, succinct algorithm compile. These advantages can specially meet the high speed and real-time requirements.
