Abstract
Using intelligent materials for the structure seismic active control is a new frontier, the current research is mostly confined to the single component or theoretical derivation. Considering the complexity and discrete of the structures, experimental study is necessary. Based on a three-layer intelligence space structure active control experiment, the paper design the driving lever, and optimize the layout position and gain value; The research shows that active control effect close relations with the structural parameters and layout position, but with no difference because of the different seismic wave; Through the active control, the peak value of displacement and acceleration for each layer, especially the most severe which got greatly restrained; the optimization based on genetic algorithms is efficient and the global optimization.
