Optimal Design of Airbag Chair for Manned Airdrop Protection

Abstract

In the manned equipment airdropping process, in order to improve the ability of manned airdrop protection, an airbag chair to protect the human body has been designed. This paper establishes the numerical model of airdrop chair and simulates the buffer process of the airbag chair to the human in airdrop landing through MADYMO. A multi-objective optimization method based on the micro multi-objective genetic algorithm for the dynamic characteristics of airbag have been proposed. An optimization procedure based on the micro multi-objective genetic algorithm is proposed to search the key parameters such as air quality of the airbag chair, venting area of the airbag chair, venting pressure of the airbag chair and air quality of the airbag for neck. The optimal design of airbag chair can not only gives an optimal design of airbag chair with reducing experimental times and cutting down experimental cost, but also can be used in the field of other manned airdrop protections.
