Abstract

The formula to consider the dissipation energy capacity of the single ring is deduced, and the two models of the ring net with different restraint impacted by rockfall are established, the dissipation energy capacity of the ring net in two models is discussed. Based on the LS-DANY program, the mechanical performance about the ring net in the two models impacted by rockfall is researched, and the result of model one is validated by the experiment. The parameters which influence the dissipation energy capacity of the ring net in the model two are analyzed, and the result is compared with the theory. The research shows that the theory can evaluate the dissipation energy capacity of the ring net. The way to evaluate the dissipation energy capacity of the ring net is presented.
