Abstract

Combined with vibration signals characteristics during run-up or coast down of rotating machinery, a novel order tracking method for rotating machinery based on tacholess and Vold-Kalman order tracking filtering technique is proposed. The instantaneous frequency is estimated by the energy centrobaric method, then the order components from vibration signals can be extracted by the Vold-Kalman order tracking. Compared with conventional methods of Vold-Kalman ordering tracking technology, the proposed method has high precision in algorithms with no aid of tachometer and other special hardware. Results of simulation and application show that the proposed method could, in time domain, extract precisely the amplitude and the order components of varying frequency.
