Abstract
In this thesis, a medium three dimensional co-oscillating vector hydrophone combined with pressure channels and vector channels is designed and accomplished based on requirement of the engineering in practice. The shape of the vector hydrophone is a cylinder with two calottes. The size is Ф44×88(mm), and the work frequency range is between 5Hz and 8kHz. Its performance is measured both in standing wave pipe and anechoic lab. The result of experimentation indicates that the pressure sensitivity of vector channels is -184dB(measure frequency: 1kHz, 0dB re 1V/μPa)with direction performance of cosine, and the pressure sensitivity of pressure channels is -198dB(0dB re 1V/μPa). The vector hydrophone has higher sensitivities, smaller volume, and be comfortable for hanging and constructing vector hydrophone array.
