Abstract

Implementation and application of strongly coupled program in fluid-structure interaction analysis in wind-induced vibration of membrane structures are studied. Based on simultaneous strongly coupled equations, program implementation process of calculating fluid-structure interaction in wind-induced vibration of membrane structures using Fortran, and the numerical methods needed in the program are both presented. Corresponding implementation process is given when important procedures in the calculation program are analyzed. Finally, the program is applied in the calculation of fluid-structure interaction in wind-induced vibration of a typical membrane structure. Wind pressure coefficients are computed when considering and not considering interaction effects under different wind azimuths, respectively. The results compare well with those obtained from the existing wind tunnel test. Meanwhile, wind-induced responses and flow distribution around the membrane structure are computed as well. It is shown that the presented strongly coupled method and its program are valid and accurate in computing fluid-structure interaction analysis in wind-induced vibration of membrane structures
