Abstract

To augment the performance of detecting faulty satellite aiding of receiver clock bias (RCB), from the point of nonlinear time sequence, a combined model for predicting RCB based on grey system theory and Markov chain is proposed in this paper. The basic ideas and steps of the forecasting method are discussed respectively, and then this model is introduced into GPS receiver in order to detect faulty satellite. Test results are presented to demonstrate the feasibility and validity of the method in the end. The research work in this paper paves the way for detecting faulty satellite, and should be valuable in the project application for improving the positioning precision and reliability of GPS receivers
