Abstract

The anomalous response of spherical shell subjected to blast loading is studied in this paper. The spherical shell midpoint displacement-time curve and the final deformation pattern are got by numerical analyses. The effect of strain rate has been taken into account for the numerical analyses in this research., the parameters with the effect of the rise of arch and thickness to the anomalous response is analyzed. The results show that only explosives in particular distance from spherical shell, there exists anomalous response. When the explosive charge is constant, the region for anomalous response distance will decreased with rise of arch increase. The anomalous response will not appear when rises- span ratio over a certain value
