Abstract

When rotor-bearing system has significant anisotropic stiffness, the conventional rotor dynamic balancing method which basing on unidirectional sensor of a section can be influenced by the direction of the sensor, as a result, balancing effect is unstable. This paper proposes a modified Influence Coefficient Method which makes good use of paired transducers of each section and obtained a good effect. In this method, an elliptical orbit is decomposed into forward precession and backward precession, then, the amplitude (radius) and phase of the former can be used to substitute the traditional unbalance response to fulfill the rotor balance. Numerical simulation based on finite element method show that, if nonlinear factor and measurement error are neglected, the modified method keeps a highly compatibility with the conventional one by yielding a close result. Furthermore, experiment on rotor test rig suggests that the modified method has a higher accuracy.
