Abstract

Contact interface is one of the factors of nonlinear dynamic properties for a flexible rod fastening rotor bearing system(FRRBS) as it's complex contact types and great amount. Contact interface between wheels of a FRRBS is concerned by combining the contact pressure and finite element analysis with a micro-model to get the macro-interface contact stiffness. Then it is replaced with a nonmass and nonlength surface spring and then the additional stiffness matrix of spring element is derived to complete the modeling of dynamic system accounting the contact interface. The shaft is considered as an integral or continuous structure and modeled by using Timoshenko beam-shaft element which can take the effects of axial load into consideration. The periodic motions and their stability margin are obtained by shooting method and Floquet theory. The result indicate that the effects of contact interface for a unbalance FRRBS cannot be ignored.
