Abstract

In this paper, based on the ABAQUS software to carry out finite element analysis consisted of hysteretic performance under pseudo static cyclic load, bearing capacity, stress and deformation of the core. The influences of perforation width, perforation length, bay number, radius thickness ratio of the core, constraint ratio of buckling-restrained brace on the performance of perforating triple-steel tube buckling-restrained brace are studied in this paper. The results show that yield point of buckling-restrained brace is reduced after perforated. Bearing capacity is not affected when weaken measure of perforation section area can be limited to the level of 20%. Perforation width and length affected the load and displacement curve and fatigue performance. In equivalent total length of perforation condition, the deformation of multi-row perforations is smaller than the one of single-row perforation. The radius-thickness ratio of core should be not more than 22. The constraint ratio of triple-steel tube buckling-restrained brace should be more than 2. These results are important reference for designing the perforating triple-steel tube buckling-restrained brace and the similar buckling-restrained brace.
