Abstract

The interaction between electromagnetic forces and structure of electrical machine leads to electromagnetically excited vibration of electrical machines. In order to evaluate the electromagnetically excited vibration of electrical machines, the electromagnetic field and structure field of the electrical machine should be coupled. A weak-coupled method for the electromagnetically excited vibration of asynchronous electrical machines is presented in this paper based on the finite element method (FEM). First, a 2D FE-modal of the electromagnetic field of asynchronous electrical machine was build by ANSOFT, and the time-variable magnetic forces applied on the stator at a given rotating speed are calculated. Then a 3D structural FE-modal of asynchronous electrical machine was formed by ANSYS. After analyzing the harmonic response of asynchronous electrical machine, the harmonics of the magnetic forces are calculated and corrected. These harmonic electromagnetic forces are applied to the structural of asynchronous electrical machine and the electromagnetically excited vibration of asynchronous electrical machine is obtained. Based on the analysis of the time-variable magnetic forces and the electromagnetically excited vibration of asynchronous electrical machine, one can improve and optimum the electromagnetic parameters and the structure of the electrical machine to reduce the electromagnetically excited vibration of asynchronous electrical machine.
