Abstract

The fatigue vibration test of corrugated fiberboard was conducted. The influence of the number of vibration and vibration acceleration on load capacity of corrugated fiberboard was determined, compared with non-vibrated corrugated fiberboard. The load capability of corrugated fiberboard after fatigue vibration depends on not only circulation number of loading but also on the vibration peak acceleration and frequency. The change of stress-strain and cushioning coefficient after the vibration test is studied by dynamic compression experiment. According to the test result, the three-dimensional relations about dynamic cushioning coefficient-maximal stress-vibration number and maximal acceleration-stress-vibration number were developed. The influence of fatigue on the properties of cushioning material should be considered, in order to meet the anticipated packaging effect.
