Abstract

Based on the shaking table tests, the dynamic responses were observed about pile-soil- structure(PSSI) in the earthquake. The soil in the different depth liquefied with the continuous increase of excess pore water pressure in the vibration process, and the top soil first reached liquefaction. Pile side friction reduced greatly after the soil liquefied, the most of load of the upper structure was beared on bearing stratum, the vertical bearing capacity of pile foundation reduced significantly, the larger settlement of the upper structure produced. At the same time, the PSSI amplified earthquake reaction of the bottom super-structure. In this study, the pile-soil-structure dynamic interaction was understood deeply during liquefaction, which helps to build optimized method of seismic design of pile foundation.
