Abstract

As the infrastructure construction further perfected in recent years, suspension bridge, famous for its strong spanning ability, has widely used in the construction of bridge all over the country, narrow suspension bridges have emerged in large numbers. However, the wind-induced vibration is an important factor influence the applicability of suspension bridge, which is more complex for narrow suspension bridges. Many wind resistant methods can be used to decrease wind-induced vibration, different method has different effect. Combined with two narrow suspension bridges, whose anti-wind ability did not meet the condition, suggests some wind resistant methods to increase their anti-wind ability, contrastive analysis the effect of them in order to obtain the reasonable combination of wind resistant methods for the bridge.
