Abstract

To control unbalanced vibration caused by grinding wheel mass unbalance, the paper proposes a new active
control strategy for suppressing grinding wheel unbalance vibration,Suppressing vibration damping in control scheme originates from the principle of a bearing less motor having a radial magnetic force generation. First, the winding arrangement and principle of the induction-type two windings electric spindle are investigated. Induction electric spindle radial control force model and the force model which is exerted on grinding wheel are analyzed. The paper establishes the induction-type flexural electric spindle-grinding wheel dynamic model by finite element. An active unbalanced vibration control system for electric spindle-grinding wheel is designed and simulated. The results show that the control scheme plays a significant role in suppressing the unbalanced vibration of grinding wheel.
