Abstract

In order to research polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) fiber concrete temperature fatigue damage evolution law, the acoustic emission (AE) monitoring technique was proposed. Through temperature fatigue experiment, the PVA fiber concrete damage AE characteristic signal has been obtained. According to the correlation diagram of AE count and energy, (PVA) fibers of varying content were used as reinforcement in concrete slabs and their influence on the damage evolution and the acoustic activity was investigated. At last, clearance factor evaluation criterion of AE signal was used to assess the damage of concrete specimen. Furthermore, the Kurtosis and b value of AE signal was computed, it is found temperature fatigue damage of PVA fiber concrete is divided into three stages obviously.
