Abstract

Special-shaped concrete filled square steel tubular (SCFT) structure,a new type structure, was adopted in wenchuan reconstruction project which includes 200 houses. In order to study the seismic performance of SCFT, several analysis methods such as response spectrum analysis, linear time history analysis and push-over analysis are used. Concrete filled square steel tubular (CFT) structure modal is also analyzed. The analysis results indicate that the SCFT structure meet the seismic demand and the performance of it is better than CFT in rarely met earthquake.
