Abstract

The bearing misalignment of the inner-and-outer dual-rotor system of an aero-engine is discussed. The whole rotor model including the connection of the internal supporting bearings between the outer and the inner rotors is established following the finite element method based on rotor dynamics. With numerical calculation, the natural frequencies and modes of the inner-and-outer dual-rotor system are obtained. The vibration responses of the rotor system are analyzed under different misalignment and different rotating speeds in cases of different misaligned outer supporting bearing of the out rotor, i.e. the higher pressure rotor.
