Abstract

A coupled nonlinear dynamics modeling contains the gears-shafts-bearings-housing for one large multi-stage wind turbine gearbox transmission system was built after comprehensive considering these non-linear factors associated with time-varying mesh stiffness, dynamic transmission error, gear mesh impact and input varying load. The coupled modal analysis was performed for the finite element model. The vibration response of the wind turbine gearbox transmission system was solved using mode superposition method under the combined effects of internal and external excitations. The simulation results is compared with the experimental data and the vibration displacement, velocity, acceleration and structural noise of the dynamical evaluation target of the wind turbine gearbox transmission system are obtained. It presents a theoretical foundation of the dynamical characteristics and dynamic optimization for large wind turbine gearbox transmission system.
