Abstract

To analysis the abnormal noise with unsteady characteristics in bus transmission, the Moore instantaneous loudness model was established based on ANSI_S3.4 2005, and cited the Zwicker loudness model for validation contrast, then the instantaneous loudness model was applied to the noise identification and its quantitative evaluation. The results show that the calculation accuracy and instantaneous specific loudness of Moore’s model are better than Zwicker’s, the Moore instantaneous loudness model is helpful to noise source identification and mechanism analysis in unsteady noise, and it’s feasible to use Moore loudness in noise quantitative evaluation.
