Abstract

The paper presentes a calibration method using the seismic wave as the excitation signal, together with an analysis of the influencing factors in calibration and an in-depth discussion of the reproduction of the seismic wave. Using a low frequency vibration calibration system in the Institute of Engineering Mechanics (IEM), a few seismic waves are reproduced and the correlation coefficient is calculated. It is shown that the correlation coefficient is larger than 0.95. In addition, the sensitivity of the vibration transducer is calibrated using the reproduced seismic wave and the sine wave separately, and the results agree with each other. The method proposed here offers a choice for future seismic instrument calibration.
