Abstract

The principle of measuring airborne sound insulation using impulse response with the multi-channel system is introduced. It is required to ensure the consistency of the channel response. And then a method is proposed to correct the sensitivity difference among the channels, in which the measurement channels in the sound source room and receiving room are exchanged to achieve a reliable result. The results of the experiments show that the channel-exchange method for correction is effective. This method minimizes the requirement for the measuring equipments, it is important to promote the national standards of measurement airborne sound insulation standards using impulse response.
