Abstract

For the horizontal vibration control of towed seismic cables ,the change of horizontal displacement is difficult to measure and the parameters of system are uncertain . A adaptive control law involving cable's speed and slope at the bird is designed .First the cable and bird's energy is chosen as Lyapunov function and robust control law is designed based on accurate model. Then the adaptive robust control law is designed on the basis of robust control law considering the uncertain parameters in actual working conditions .Finally a finite difference scheme validates the efficiency of the control law, the adaptive controllers can update the variations of bird's tension and the variations of towed seismic streamer density .The proposed control law is stable and can resist the uncertainty of parameters.
