Abstract

Based on the extended Hamilton principle, the mathematical model of a strip-rolls-flexible-supporting hybrid system in coating section of a continuous hot-dip galvanizing line is established. Normal mode theory is used to obtain the frequency equation of the system after linearizing the equations of motion. Through the illustration of a galvanizing line, the eigenvalue problems are sloved. The effects of the sectional area of strip steel together with the initial tension on eigenvalue and eigenvector of the system are analysed as well as the coupled vibration characteristics of the system. Finally, model analysis of the hybrid system are conducted by the finite element analysis software ANSYS and the results are in line with the theoretical solution.
