Abstract

The electromechanical coupled dynamic equation for laminated piezoelectric fibers is solved by means of finite Hankel integral transform and Laplace transform. Then, the analytical solution is obtained by utilizing the interface continuity conditions between the piezoelectric fiber layers and the stress boundary condition at the external surface of the piezoelectric laminated fibers. From the exact analytical solution and the numerical examples, the transient response of stresses and electric potential in laminated piezoelectric fibers under radial dynamic loading is described, which reveal the dynamic focusing effect at the center of laminated piezoelectric fibers.
