Abstract

Integrated building-bridge structure is a new type of high-speed railway passenger station in China, which possesses both of building and bridge characteristic. As decided by traffic requirement of train line on rail floor, its elevated station hall which consists of concrete filled steel tubular column and truss beam are usually long-span. So the vertical seismic performance of station hall is often the weak link under earthquake. In view of this, firstly in this paper calculation mechanism and problems of displacement input model in SAP2000 software is described, and then Tianjin West Railway Station is referred to establish the typical station hall structure. Seismic response characteristics of typical station hall under uniform, multi-point time history excitations and random earthquake excitations by considering travelling wave effect are all studied. Research work shows that: utilizing direct response results calculated by displacement model to obtain belonging structural response which is not involved in the dynamic equilibrium equation may produce obvious error; multi-point input feature has a significant impact on vertical seismic response of elevated station hall, which should not be ignored in the seismic design and performance evaluation, and meanwhile appropriate seismic design recommendations are also given in this paper.
