Elasto-plastic time-history analysis of complex out-of-code high-rise building with unidirectional diagonal grid structure
Zhenjiang Suning Plaza was composed with East Tower, West Tower and commercial podiums. The height of East Tower is 338m, which is composed with concrete filled steel tube and steel beam-concrete core tube, with diagonal grid structures on its’ east and west sides. The finite element analysis program ABAQUS was adopted and the user defined material subroutine was programmed to set up the analysis model of East Tower based on fiber elements. Explicit analysis method was employed to model the Elasto-plastic time-history response of East Tower under rare earthquake. And the results show that: diagonal grid structure can effectively enhance stiffness in its in-plane direction; the largest inter-story drifts were under codes’ limit; different degree damages occurred in coupling beams; most shear walls remained in elastic working stage; the elasto-plastic strain of all the steel members were under the limit value; and the structure can remain stable under rare earthquake.
