Abstract

In studying of the attenuation of high-speed railway vehicle lateral vibration, traditionnl skyhook damping control methods are designed to reduce body vibration. Althoughtt the vehicle lateral vibration is reduced , the bogie and wheelset lateral vibration increases, which may lead to vehicle derailment when the vehicle running at a high speed, the operation safety is also reduced. In order to solve the problem above, A single trailer vehicle model was established in the Adams/Rial.Combining the skyhook control with groundhook damping control, the mixed damping control was applied to reduce locomotive body lateral vibration. The results show that, mixed damping control consides both the high-speed railway vehicle comfort and safety, having better comprehensive performance.
