Abstract

Considering damage evolution, elastic-plastic constitutive program is compiled and applied to segmentation fiber beam to evaluate the damage situation at different position of member. Based on damage value, simulation method of member fracture is established by modifying member characteristics in real time. Then the simulation method of member fracture is applied to the beam structure under monotone increasing load and the single-layer reticulated shell under earthquake. The analysis results show that the simulation method is able to simulate member fracture effectively; since member fracture suddenly, node displacement and strain energy of members connected to the fractured member would increase suddenly, it would result in members’ failure; member fracture could be occurred in single-layer reticulated shell under strong earthquake, then it can decrease the structure stiffness and results in structural collapse.
