Abstract

For uniform irradiation in ICF, a non-contact target is the key technology. The method that ICF target is levitated by near-field acoustic levitation system is put forward. The transducer and the levitation system for ICF target are preliminary designed. The radiating surface of the transducer is concave spherical which is optimized by ANSYS software. The near-field acoustic levitation system is structured and different ICF target-like spheres are levitated in different voltages. When the diameters of the concave sphere surface and the ICF target-like sphere are similar or the same, the levitating effect is the best. Airflow can be used to drive the levitated sphere rotating non-contact. The levitating height is 50μm and the vibrating amplitude is 3μm when the driving voltage is 600V. It is feasible for ICF target levitated by near-field acoustic levitation system.
