Abstract

We defined the conception of Cable-Beam vibration, which include forced vibration and parametric vibration. We combined nonlinear finite element method with cable nonlinear vibration equation for the investigation of Cable-Beam vibration. Built up a numerical calculation model by computer programming, discussed about the characteristics of Cable-Beam vibration based on the numerical result. The computing result indicated that the cable vibration has distinct relationship with the global structure vibration. The result was closer to practical situation. The method could be used for building global bridge finite element model for investigation.
