Abstract

Established a physical experimental model in laboratory for different slurry viscosities of debris flow, composing of five slurry viscosities with 0Pa•s, 0.13 Pa•s, 0.37P Pa•s, 0.72 Pa•s and 0.93 Pa•s, impacting characteristics for fluctuating impacting load of debris flow are unveiled in detail by wavelet theory. Three aspects are displayed for the characteristics, i.e., the first, with the increase of debris flow’s slurry viscosity, the impacting load and the standard deviation of it exhibited a nonlinear increase, and the probability density gradually deviated from Gaussian distribution. The second, the 95 percent of the impacting energy of debris flow centralized in low frequency, whose frequency is less than 1.958Hz, and the percentage of impacting energy rapidly decreases from low frequency to high frequency, further more, the bigger the slurry viscosity is, the faster the decreasing speed is. The results in the paper are positive in the studies on dynamical features of debris flow.
