Abstract

In this paper, using Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT) analyses nuclear explosion and lightning electromagnetic pulse, for NEMP and LEMP signal having non-stationary and non-linear characteristic, discovered that the energy in Hilbert spectrum focus on certain time and frequency regions. Based on above analysis and discover, the regional energy ratio of Hilbert spectrum character is brought up, by which the discrimination of NEMP and LEMP is studied. The experiment result indicated that, using the nearest neighbor pattern classification, the average discrimination rate of NEMP and LEMP is over 90% based on regional energy ratio of Hilbert spectrum.
