Abstract

The research on the dynamics performance of the lower limb model is very important to the study of the helicopter anti-prang experiment dummy. The injuries of the pilot’s lower limb in a helicopter crash accident has been analyzed. The finite element model for the dummy’s lower limb with the Chinese 50th percentile pilot parameters has been constructed. And the dynamics performance of the lower limb has been simulated according to its calibration rules. Comparison of the simulating result with the reference index of the lower limb’s dynamics performance and the experimental result shows that the FE model has good anthropopathic integrality and that the simulation method used to analyze the dynamics performance of the dummy’s lower limb is correct and validated. The research can be a guide to develop the dummy’s lower limb that can appreciate the colliding injuries from different directions and can be a reference to the simulation study of the dynamics performance of the dummy’s other parts.
