Abstract

A new nonlinear low frequency isolator is designed, which consists of three symmetrical and special shapes of spring laminations. It can bear high static load and have low dynamic stiffness, and can reduce the starting isolation frequency of the system. Its nonlinear dynamic property is studied through one-dimensional model and is tested by experimental setup. A two-degree of freedom vibration isolation platform is built and the vibration isolation testing is made, which shows the isolator has good effect.
