Abstract

Firstly, system configuration and structure characteristics for reinforced concrete spatial lattice structure were introduced. Then, the curvature mode surface fitting damage identification theory was proposed. And the curvature mode surface fitting damage index (CMSFDIi) and the average of curvature mode surface fitting damage index (CMSFDIiA) were defined respectively. The damage can be located by the difference between curvature mode and its fitted value. The process of damage identification can be carried out using the measured data obtained from the damaged structure rather than the intact structure and theoretical models. Finally, orthorhombic reinforced concrete open-web grid structure was taken as an example to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the method. The results show that this method can not only identify the single-location damage but also the multi-location damage. It was suitable for damage identification and structural health monitoring on reinforced concrete spatial lattice structure.
