Abstract

A study on parameter identification of the bridge structure has been undertaken by stabilization diagram with fuzzy clustering method and stochastic subspace method. The stabilization diagram is proposed in which the frequency as the abscissa and any column data of modal assurance criterion (MAC) as the ordinate without the consideration of damping. The compared circle method is presented to distinguish the spurious and physical modes so that the stabilization diagram becomes more intelligent, accurate and no longer to need people’s subjective participation. Numerical simulation results of a simple beam and a continuous beam demonstrate the correctness and stronger anti-interference ability of the employed approaches.
