Abstract

Non-linear vibrational characteristics of nano-beams are studied taking into account the non-local effect. The physical model is built based on the continue body theory and the effect of the axial elongation for the nano-beam. The dynamic equations are derived based on the non-local effect. The natural frequency is gotten and the principal resonance is studied considering non-local effect and axial nonlinear elongation. The numerical results show that the non-local effect has effect on the natural frequency and the relationship between frequency and amplitude.
