Abstract
The Aging offshore platform collided with the ship, which led to the deformation of legs and reduced its bearing capacity. In order to reduce the collision force influence on the performance of the legs, and improve the collided resistance performance of legs, this paper presented the method of strengthening the damaged of legs using high strength carbon fiber reinforced polymer(CFRP) with good energy absorption ability. The legs of a jack-up offshore platform as an example to prove the method of strengthening damaged with CFRP was efficacious by using FEM. Research shown that, under the condition of the same collision, the stress of legs unreinforcement closed to yield; When pasted 2 layers CFRP cloth, the energy absorbed by legs dropped 56.8%, and the extreme stress dropped 8.66%; When the pasted CFRP plate, the energy absorbed by legs dropped 70.68%, and the extreme stress dropped 8.66%. Along with the increase of the thickness of the CFRP to absorb more energy, the collided resistance performance of the legs was better, and it improved the bearing capacity of the legs.
