Abstract

Characteristics of natural vibration and possible resonance of the underground powerhouse in Jinping I hydropower station were modelled and analysed with 3D dynamic finite element. Based on the model hydraulic pulse test, the turbine characteristics of fluctuating pressure loads of Jinping I hydropower were obtained. The vibration response of powerhouse structure, respectively under the unit vibration loads and the pulsating loads, were analysed by dynamic analysis and evaluated according to the related codes and specifications at home and abroad. The results show that the vibration frequencies of the underground structures are very different from that of various vibration sources, so the resonance has no way to happen. Meanwhile, because the total stiffness of the underground powerhouse structure, comparing to the unit vibration loads and the pulsating loads, is rather large, the vibration displacement, stress and velocity, respectively is small, and can meet the requirement of the related codes and specifications.
