Abstract

The grid structure dynamic performance considering soil-structure dynamic interaction (SSDI) is analyzed using the whole finite element method. The ABAQUS and FORTRAN program are adopted to achieve viscoelastic artificial boundary accurately applied. The geostatic procedure for obtaining initial equilibrium state of soil and ground motion input of viscoelastic artificial boundary are developed. A numerical example is developed to verify validity and rationality of finite element calculation process. Then a three dimensional finite element integral model is established to make a comprehensive analysis of grid structure dynamic performance. The integral model consists of grid dome, support structure and foundation soil. The results show the nature period of grid structure increase with soil layer becoming soft considering soil-structure dynamic interaction, and the natural frequency become more intensive compared to the rigid foundation assumption. The peak acceleration of foundation bed increase 5%~30% compared to free field peak acceleration, and the increment degree increase with soil layer becoming soft. Furthermore, the node acceleration and the horizontal relative displacement of grid structure increase considering soil-structure dynamic interaction, and the horizontal relative displacement of grid structure increase gradually with soil layer becoming soft.
