Abstract

Considering the uncertainties of ground motions characteristics and structures parameters, this paper proposes a fragility analysis method of inter-story isolation structures based on RSM(response surface method). Using central composite design method to construct a series of samples for various ground motions and inter-story isolation structures, nonlinear dynamic time analysis of the sample model was carried out, and then substructures response surface model of inter-story isolation structure was built. Results shows the proposed method possesses less amount of calculation, high accuracy, effectively improve the efficiency of vulnerability analysis, and is of great engineering application prospects.
