Abstract

The model of three-degree of freedom consideringtranslation and rotational coupling under action of a half-sine pulse were established to study shock response characteristics of suspension vibration reduction system.Considering eccentricity during transportation, the dimensionlessshock dynamical equations with cubic nonlinear were deduced. The three-dimensional shock spectra were created using numerical analysis of Runge-Kutta method. The effects of centroid position, suspension angle, damping ratio and pulse excitationparametersof the system on shock response were discussed. It was shown that centroid position should be as close to the geometric center of the system as possible, increasing damping ratio or reducing pulse excitation amplitude can obviously restrain shock response of the system. The results can provide academic foundation for optimal design of the suspension vibration reduction system.
