Abstract

The power response equation of Structure-TMD system is established. Considering natural period and damping ratio of main structure, the damping effect of the system is investigated by time history analysis method from the perspective of power. The time-frequency diagram of seismic excitation is obtained by HHT transform, and the reason for the power amplifier of controlled structure to uncontrolled case at some point is explained. The dissipation power formula is derived by harmonic loading acting on the substrate of the structure, and the optimal damping ratio and optimal frequency ratio are obtained based on the minimum dissipation power of the main structure. A comparative analysis has been carried out with the methods proposed previous. Results indicate that the size of the displacement variance under the random excitation and the energy and power responses under certain ground motion obtained by the proposed method are among the four optimization methods mentioned above, and significantly reduced compared with the uncontrolled case, which proves the adaptability and reliability of this optimization method.
