Abstract

The fuel cell vehicle had problems in the middle and low–frequency vibration This paper will focus on the optimal design of integrated sensor systems with the aim of possible best reconstruction of structural responses using Kalman filtering algorithm, including both strain and displacement measurement sensors. The locations will be deleted from the candidates in the condition that the deletion will cause the minimal reconstruction error until either the normalized maximum or average theoretical reconstruction error achieve the predefined criterion. Then the numbers and locations of the two type sensors are determined. A two-dimensional truss structure is then presented as a numerical example to investigate the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed approach. The results indicate that the reconstructed responses are in good agreement with the real ones and the integrated sensor system provides better reconstruction of structural response than single-type sensor system.
