Abstract

Based on doubly asymptotic approximation method ,a numerical method which aims to study the effect of elastic structure during slamming is developed. During transient slamming of the elastic structure with the water, the velocity potential of free surface satisfies the nonlinear condition of free water surface,considering nonlinear Bernoulli equation of structure movement ,the research couples the control equations in fluid field with dynamic response equations of the elastic structure,and computed result is compared with the test result. Analysis of the results show:fluid-solid coupling effect has certain influence on slamming load and elastic dynamic response of the structure during water entry.The horizontal and vertical force of cylinder have two peaks while tilt water entry.The angle of water entry is critical important to ship.
