Abstract

Dynamic finite element model of a Central-driven Electric Automotive Powertrain is established. Different excitations are mentioned and given the numerical simulation. The time-varying gear stiffness, error and impact excitation are considered and calculated. The electro-magnetic forces act on the stator including radical forces and tangential forces are obtained by 2D electro-magnetic simulation. The dynamic response analysis of the shell of the power train is carried out under these excitations. Experimental results confirm the accuracy of the simulation methods. Results show that the consideration of whole powertrain and various type of incentives, can better predict the vibration characteristics of the electric vehicle powertrain.
